Overview and getting started

What Central AI does, and the order to set it up in.

What Central AI does

Central AI gives your business an AI agent that talks to your customers. You teach it about your business once, and it answers questions, captures leads, raises support tickets and, with the AI Sales Agent, helps customers find what you sell and take the next step: buy, book, apply or register.

The same agent works in several places:

  • Your website, through a chat widget you add with one snippet (Website chat widget).
  • Facebook Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp, once you connect them (Social channels).
  • Your own app or server, through the Chat API (Server APIs).

The agents

Central AI is a team of AI agents that share one knowledge base. Switch on the ones you need.

AgentWhat it does for you
Chat agentAnswers your customers on your website, Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp from what you taught it.
AI Sales AgentFinds what you sell, shows prices and availability, and helps the customer buy, book, apply or register.
Smart Lead AgentTurns each day’s conversations into summarised leads in your own categories.
Auto Lead CaptureScores anonymous visitors by how they use your site and turns interested ones into leads.
AI Lead EngagementFollows up with your leads by email, from your own follow-up plan, until they are won or hand over to a person.
Support Ticket AgentRaises a support ticket from the chat when a customer needs a person.

Give your data once

The rule we build to: you give each piece of business data once, through the channel you already use, and every Central AI agent uses it.

What that means today:

  • Your knowledge base feeds the chat agent. Documents, CSV files, FAQs, your website pages and records you push through the Knowledge Sync API all become answers.
  • Your offerings feed the chat agent and the Sales agent. The chat agent reads your offerings (name, description, price, link) when a customer asks about them, whether or not the Sales agent is switched on.
  • You do not have to type your catalog twice. Find what I sell reads what you have already taught your chat agent and suggests offerings, each with the sentence it came from. Nothing is sold until you approve it.
  • One place in the dashboard. Your business data lives under one tab bar: Knowledge Base, What you sell, Needs your review and Connections.

A price your agent quotes always comes from an offering (a structured row with a price field), never from free text, so the price a customer is told can be checked at the moment they order.

Set up in this order

  1. Choose a plan and verify your email. Some features depend on your plan; each page here says which.
  2. Add your allowed domains. On Security and API keys, list the websites that may use your widget. An empty list allows nothing. See Security and keys.
  3. Teach your agent. Upload documents and FAQs, train on your website, or push records from your own system. See Knowledge base.
  4. Add the chat widget to your website. Copy the snippet from the widget page. See Website chat widget.
  5. List what you sell. Add offerings by hand, by CSV, through the API, or let Find what I sell suggest them. See Offerings.
  6. Configure and publish the AI Sales Agent. Pick a company type, tick what you sell, choose how customers complete, and publish. See AI Sales Agent configuration.
  7. Connect your channels. Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp. See Social channels.
  8. Optional: connect your systems. Report won leads, read support tickets, hand the Sales agent’s basket to your own checkout and follow the order live, or let it create orders in your own system. See Server APIs, Live checkout and Commerce API.
