Support Ticket Agent
Raises support tickets from the chat when a customer needs a person.
The Support Ticket Agent notices when a customer in the chat needs a person, for example a payment problem, a damaged order or a complaint, collects their email and the details, and raises a support ticket for your team, with the conversation attached.
What it does
- Recognises when the chat agent cannot solve a problem on its own.
- Always asks for the customer’s email first, then creates the ticket with a clear subject and description.
- Tells the customer a ticket has been raised and that your team will contact them.
- Your team replies from the ticket; the customer gets the reply by email, and their email answers come back into the ticket (checked every 3 minutes when your mailbox is connected).
Turn it on
- Open Agent & Chat → Agents and switch on support tickets.
- Choose where tickets go (below) and the default priority (new companies start at medium).
- Connect your support mailbox so replies are sent from your own address.
Configure
| Where tickets go | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Dashboard Only | Tickets appear in your dashboard’s support inbox. |
| API Integration | Tickets are also sent to your own system, signed with your secret, and are available through the Support Tickets API. |
Priorities: low, medium, high.
Ticket statuses: open, in_progress, resolved, closed.
What the customer sees
The chat asks for their email, confirms the ticket, and later they receive your team’s reply by email.
Credits and limits
Raising a ticket does not use extra credits; the chat messages around it use chat credits as usual.
Troubleshooting
- No ticket was created.
- Check support tickets are switched on, and that the customer gave an email: a ticket always needs one.
- Customers do not get our replies.
- Connect and test your support mailbox in the dashboard.
